Job Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Business Outsourcing Services team as a Financial Services Apprentice. As part of this team, you will work with clients and their finance teams or bookkeepers, providing services, advice, and solutions that make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with clients to provide a range of services, including statutory accounts, bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns, software implementation, and 'health-checks' of their systems.
- Develop an understanding of our clients and their businesses, identifying opportunities to provide value-added services.
- Keep your manager informed of any issues or problems, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and recording clearly and concisely the work carried out.
- Become familiar with our internal accounting software and other cloud accounting technologies.
- Provide advice and solutions to clients in response to their accounting queries.
- Use automation to improve efficiencies for our clients' finance function.
- Prioritize tasks for your own portfolio of clients, monitoring time against budget.
Requirements
- Commitment to completing the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification, followed by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification.
- A Level: Predicted or obtained minimum 112 UCAS points in top three A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies.
- GCSE: Minimum Grade 5 (or equivalent), in English Language and Maths respectively.
