About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Court Usher at the Cardiff Magistrates Court.

As a Court Usher, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of court proceedings, providing excellent customer service to members of the public, and supporting the work of HMCTS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to court staff and judges
  • Manage court documents and records
  • Assist with the preparation of court rooms and equipment
  • Deal with members of the public, including vulnerable witnesses and their legal representatives
  • Perform general clerical duties as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be:

  • IT proficient with the ability to learn and adapt to different technologies and software packages
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
