Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Operator (Stores) to join our team in a key role. As an Operator (Stores), you will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our stores operations.
Main Responsibilities
Key duties will include:
- Carrying out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of tools and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assisting with the maintenance of stores and inventory management
- Inspecting network assets as required
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold English and Maths GCSE (1-9/G-A*) or equivalent qualifications. You will also need to be able to work under your own initiative in a safety-critical environment.
Desirable Skills
It would be beneficial to have a license to drive a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) up to category C and experience operating a Fork Lift Truck. You will also need to be mobile throughout the area and willing to work flexible hours, including out-of-hours standby duties as required.
