Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Bournemouth, Dorset. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes to ensure the highest quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with production teams to ensure new products are designed for manufacture, assembly, and test.
  • Define and develop manufacturing processes, including assembly, test, and inspection.
  • Ensure safe working practices are embedded in all aspects of the role.
  • Develop test fixtures and tools to aid and simplify production processes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in product quality, efficiency of manufacture, and cost reduction.
  • Manage new product introduction to the factory.
  • Provide support to purchasing and production teams.
  • Manage change to products.
  • Assist the QA team with quality investigations.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of ongoing projects.
Requirements:
  • Formal electronics qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronics drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with CAD packages.
  • A helpful and proactive attitude.
  • LEAN manufacturing experience desirable.
