Job Overview

The Stowe Group of Schools is seeking a seasoned finance professional to join its leadership team as Group Finance Director.

This is a unique opportunity to partner with the Head and support the Governors in driving the Group's strategic and operational plans.

The successful candidate will oversee the finance functions of various entities within the Group, including Stowe School Ltd, Stowe Enterprises Ltd, and Stowe House Preservation Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all financial aspects of the Group's strategy, procedures, and activities
  • Ensure the Group's finances, investments, and financial systems support and anticipate its educational and charitable ambitions
  • Lead a high-performing finance team and collaborate with colleagues, students, parents, governors, and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with experience in managing finance teams and strategic business planning
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to command respect from colleagues and stakeholders
  • Understanding and appreciation of the independent schools sector and affinity with the vision, ethos, and values of The Stowe Group
