Hospital Manager

Gilbert Meher is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our new state-of-the-art hospital development in York. As a Hospital Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the hospital, ensuring the provision of high-quality care and treatment to individuals with acquired brain injuries.

Main Responsibilities

  • To take overall responsibility for the effective management of all aspects of the hospital, ensuring the provision of high-quality care and treatment.
  • To lead, manage, and direct a multidisciplinary team in the attainment of aims and objectives linked to the organization's strategic plan.
  • To meet full compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant legislation.
  • To market the hospital to potential commissioners and referrers, creating new business opportunities.
  • To manage organic and planned change within the service, meeting the demands of new business.

Main Duties & Tasks

  • To demonstrate professional leadership and provide hands-on management support and guidance to staff.
  • To assume line management responsibilities for the senior management team and lead clinicians, providing operational support and direction.
  • To take responsibility for setting and monitoring budgets, capital, and revenue within the location.
  • To take overall responsibility for recruitment, employment, and working practices, complying with Employment Law and contractual obligations.
  • To be an active member of the hospital management group and take on additional defined responsibilities as required.
  • To produce and implement an annual business development plan to support the management and development of existing and new hospital provision.
  • To participate in conferences and marketing opportunities as an ambassador for the organization.
  • To take a lead responsibility for the provision and management of on-call systems for the location.
  • To ensure the effective health, welfare, and safeguard needs of all individuals are met in line with legislation.
  • To take a lead role in the provision of the review process, ensuring review reports are of a professional standard and collated in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • To have worked as a Registered Manager before and have experience of managing a clinical team.
  • To have completed QCF (NVQ) level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
