Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Octagon Group. As a global leader in photonic engineering, we provide optical systems, assemblies, and components for various applications across aerospace, defense, life science, and telecommunications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing electronic solutions for a range of electro-optical products. You will be involved in analogue and digital electronic design, PCB design from concept to prototype, and will have the opportunity to work on exciting new projects involving photonics and optical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic solutions for electro-optical products
  • Develop analogue and digital electronic designs, including PCB design from concept to prototype
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new projects
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in photonic engineering

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in analogue and digital circuit design
  • Knowledge in digital and analogue signal processing
  • Experience in PCB design, schematic capture, and layout
  • Basic Embedded Software experience using C and/or C++ would be beneficial but not essential
