Founding Software Engineer - Sustainability Pioneer

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Founding Software Engineer to join our team at Burns Sheehan Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology roadmap and driving the development of our innovative sustainability platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our CTO and business stakeholders to evolve our platform, defining the next product iterations and leading the design and build to improve its scalability and reliability.
  • Shape the technology roadmap, managing product development from ideation to implementation.
  • Build and lead a high-performing software engineering team, ensuring software engineering best practice and high-quality delivery.
  • Work closely with our product team to develop and implement solutions to complex technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • Strong passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact on the environment.
  • Proven experience in software engineering, with a strong background in the JavaScript ecosystem (React, Typescript, Node).
  • Additional experience with Python, GCP, and MongoDB/PostgreSQL would be highly valued.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to build and lead a high-performing team.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £90,000 per annum.
  • A generous equity package of 1%.
  • A hybrid working arrangement, with 1-2 days per week in the office.
