We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Support Worker to join our team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. As a Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a busy and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with direct patient care, supervised by a Registered Nurse, and work as an integrated member of the team.
- Maintain patient dignity and self-respect at all times and achieve a high standard of care.
- Carry out assigned tasks, including making beds, assisting with toileting, and escorting patients to and from the toilet.
- Assist with the care of terminally ill patients and perform Last Offices.
- Deliver requests between departments, answer the telephone, and take messages when required.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of patients' furniture and report mishaps or accidents to nursing staff.
- Able to demonstrate a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
- Describes their interest in caring for patients in a hospital and experience in working as a Care Support Worker.
- Explains an understanding of HDFT's values.
