We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Vehicle Parts Advisor to join our client's dynamic team and help maintain their reputation for excellence.
The Role
As a Vehicle Parts Advisor, you will be an integral part of the team, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, managing inventory efficiently, and collaborating closely with the service department to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and ensure the availability of high-quality parts.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, order new stock, and track inventory to ensure optimal levels are maintained.
- Parts Identification: Use catalogues and software to accurately identify the correct parts for various vehicles.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the service department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts for repair jobs, facilitating effective communication between departments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, inventory updates, and supplier communications.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive parts and systems.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technology: Proficient in using parts catalogues, inventory management software, and supplier management systems.
- Organisation: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts and perform physical tasks as needed.
Compensation Package
- Basic salary up to £35,000 (depending on experience)
- Performance bonus
Working Days
- Week 1: 5 days (Monday to Friday)
- Week 2: 6 days (Monday to Saturday)
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 18:00
- Saturday: 09:00 - 14:00
