About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team as a Speech and Language Support Specialist. As a key member of our educational support team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with communication difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with speech and language difficulties, implementing individualized education plans and personalized learning strategies.
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities, collaborating with teachers and other professionals to monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
  • Support the development of speech and language skills through targeted interventions and activities, maintaining accurate records of student progress and participation.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers and other stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative approach to supporting students' learning and development.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children with speech and language difficulties is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of all students.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
