About the Role

Walter Lilly is seeking an experienced Assistant Planner to join its Planning Department on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will assist in the coordination and management of live construction projects in Ascot, ensuring that production and commercial teams are aligned on critical activities and project risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing weekly programme updates and planning reports
  • Supporting the project team in developing tender programmes
  • Liaising with subcontractors
  • Assisting in recording the effects of changes on site and their impact on the programme
  • Developing visual planning aids for the production team to enhance programme understanding
  • Liaising with the Estimator and engineering teams on tender deliverables and temporary works schemes
Requirements
  • Qualifications appropriate to the role
  • Developing construction knowledge
  • Experience of both NEC and JCT Forms of Contract
  • IT skills and relevant knowledge of planning software including Asta PowerProject and others where possible
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Embracing technology and modern methods of construction and striving for efficiencies
  • Problem solver with the ability to break issues down and drive results
  • Recognising the importance of change management and the associated risks
