HGV Class 1 Lead Driver / Driver Development Specialist

A reputable logistics firm is on the lookout for a skilled HGV Class 1 Lead Driver / Driver Development Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding new drivers, ensuring that exceptional standards are upheld consistently.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Offering guidance and assistance to drivers
  • Conducting orientation sessions for new drivers
  • Evaluating and training drivers on a continuous basis
  • Overseeing infringements and delivering coaching
  • Performing driver assessments and providing constructive feedback
Essential Experience:
  • Experience in driver training and assessment
  • Proven HGV driving background
Qualifications:
  • Valid Category C+E Driving Licence with a minimum of 1 year experience
  • Strong educational background
  • Familiarity with Drivers Hours Legislation, Working Time Directive Rules, and Road Traffic Laws
  • Comprehension of driver's hours regulations
  • Knowledge of working time directives
  • Understanding of digital tachograph usage
