About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cleaning Operative to join our team at Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our offices and facilities.

Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, including mopping, toilet cleaning, washing walls, vacuuming, emptying bins, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Operating a variety of cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and cleaning solutions.
  • Working independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning schedules and deadlines.
  • Providing excellent customer service to our employees and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development to improve your skills and knowledge in cleaning and facilities maintenance.

About You

We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality cleaning services. You will have previous experience in cleaning or a related field, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with colleagues and customers.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate, 22.5 days annual leave (rising to 25 after 5 years' service), plus bank holidays, uniform, PPE, and a Defined Contribution pension scheme. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in cleaning and facilities maintenance, and contribute to the success of our team.
