About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Coventry City Council's Fostering Service as a Fostering Panel Advisor and Review Chair. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in the continued growth and development of the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice to the fostering panel to ensure the best possible outcomes for fostered children.
  • Take on responsibility for the oversight of foster carer reviews following team manager quality assurance.
  • Work collaboratively with the independent panel chair, vice chairs, panel members, and those attending the panel to ensure effective decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of the fostering service, building on its strengths and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified social worker with experience of working with foster carers. It would be beneficial if this work has included sitting as a fostering panel member, but this is not essential. The role requires a clear understanding of the fostering regulations and standards, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and relationally with others.
