Job Summary:

Gabor Logistics Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our team in delivering event equipment and furniture to various locations across the UK. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting equipment and furniture safely and efficiently, while providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation: Drive a lorry to transport event equipment and furniture from warehouses to event venues, hotels, and outdoor festivals.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading equipment and furniture safely and efficiently, ensuring that all items are properly secured and handled with care.
  • Route Navigation: Navigate routes to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Logistics and Administration: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, handle paperwork and delivery documentation, and perform other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Clean category C driving licence and no formal academic entry requirements.
  • Skills: Excellent driving skills and knowledge of UK road regulations, strong time management and organizational skills, ability to handle and transport equipment and furniture safely and securely, good communication and customer service skills, attention to detail and accuracy in handling paperwork and delivery documentation, physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy items, problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations on the road, familiarity with GPS navigation systems and ability to use them effectively, flexibility and adaptability to work in different weather conditions and varying schedules, basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform minor repairs if needed.
