M&E Lead Cost Consultant - Major Civil Engineering Firm - £8m (M&E Package).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Commercial Manager

Key Duties will include:

  • Preparation of all payment applications, ensuring all contractual rights are upheld.
  • Guaranteeing that payments are processed in line with contractual agreements.
  • Submission of cost estimates and tender information to clients.
  • Presentation of Final Accounts, including negotiation of all contractual rights.
  • Delivery of weekly cost/value reports, project timelines, and associated Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data.
  • Preparation and presentation of Monthly Cost/Value Reconciliations and Final Cost/Value Forecasts.
  • Development of forward work schedules and cash flow projections.
  • Financial and commercial oversight of subcontractors until the settlement of their Final Accounts.
  • Compilation of necessary documentation to support additional payments, variations, and claims.
  • Providing commercial support to site and contract management teams, as well as estimating and procurement.
  • Close collaboration with clients on all commercial issues, including the preparation and submission of supporting documentation.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Relevant formal qualification - HNC/HND or Degree in a related field.
i.e. Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, etc.

  • Must possess experience with M&E packages; prior experience in the rail sector is not necessary as training will be provided.
Experience with NEC 3, M&E civil engineering, and construction.


Candidates should demonstrate a solid background as a Cost Consultant, ideally within a contracting environment, and have experience with NEC.
