Job Overview

nGenium is seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join their team in Northamptonshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production runs, including product testing, and providing support in innovative development and prototype testing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining stock levels of assembled products and component parts
  • Coordinating production runs and ensuring quality control
  • Recording supplied systems and performing periodic customer support and product repairs
  • Preparing work for Production Assistants and ensuring efficient workflow
  • Aiding in Research & Development work as required
  • Assembling electronic hardware through hand-soldering and the use of heat gun & bed
  • Testing hardware modules and final assembled products
  • Writing or contributing to product/project documentation
  • Performing basic electrical work on products, mainly wiring-related
  • Assessing and understanding customer needs to contribute towards product design
  • Maintaining an organised workspace

Essential skills include:

  • Ability to use laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators
  • High-standard soldering skills, including small pitch SMT components
  • Effective communication and organisational skills

Advantageous experience includes:

  • Experience with RF
  • Experience with low power circuits
  • Basic electrical wiring knowledge
