COWI is seeking an experienced In-House Legal Counsel to join our Global Legal team. As a key member of our team, you will provide succinct, practical, and commercially minded legal advice to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract review, negotiation, and legal risk management
  • General day-to-day legal assistance to operational management and project managers
  • Structuring, drafting, and negotiating international service contracts and joint venture agreements
  • Legal advice related to contract and claims management
  • Counsel in disputes and settlement negotiations
  • Support, train, and liaise with COWI line managers and senior management on various legal subjects
  • Company due diligence, general corporate housekeeping, and advising on legal compliance matters
  • Counsel on mergers and acquisitions
  • Improving and updating standard contract templates

Requirements:

  • English law qualified solicitor with up to 5 years' post-qualified experience
  • Extensive contractual review and negotiation experience
  • Experience in identifying, supervising, and mitigating operational risk and opportunities
  • High-quality drafting skills
  • International experience preferred but not essential
  • Extensive analytical skills, business-oriented, and focused on providing solutions and results
  • Attention to detail and ability to communicate complex legal issues to internal and external stakeholders
  • Focus on continuous professional development
