We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a Senior Project Controls Engineer - Planning to become a vital part of our growing Defence division.
This position offers a hybrid working model, requiring time in our office as well as a minimum of two days per week at client locations.
As a Project Controls Engineer, you will collaborate within our project controls teams, delivering performance reporting and analytical support. This role may involve working within a larger team or serving as the primary day-to-day liaison with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project timelines that align with project objectives.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to formulate project schedules.
- Minimize uncertainties, clarify goals, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Engage with project teams to outline the scope of work, facilitating the creation and updating of detailed schedules, cost data, and variance identification.
- Assess project schedule progress and performance, pinpointing potential issues.
- Analyze critical paths and constraints to evaluate the impact of changes to the schedule and propose alternatives.
- Support project managers in executing timely and effective change management protocols.
- Ensure compliance with NEC or FIDIC contract processes for managing schedule data and submissions.
Qualifications
- A qualified graduate in a relevant field with experience in a project control setting.
- Experience in project or program management, overseeing the delivery or control of individual projects, programs, or portfolios.
- Proficiency in using control and general software applications such as Primavera (P6), Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A solid understanding of Project Controls principles.
- Familiarity with various discipline-specific software applications, including Primavera (P6) and other planning and resource management tools.
Due to the specialized and sensitive nature of our work for various clients, candidates should ideally possess UK MoD security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain such clearance.
