About the Role

Pareto FM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our clients' M&E installations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the timely completion of all maintenance and reactive tasks associated with client assets, serving as the first line of response for all associated M&E and Fabric issues.
  2. Conduct regular and periodic inspections to maintain the efficiency and safety of M&E installations, including fire safety, firefighting equipment, and security systems, and liaise with client staff to meet specific requirements.
  3. Maintain accurate records and computer-based record management systems to nationally agreed standards, including statutory testing and inspection, technical records, files, diaries, drawings, and reports.
  4. Perform all necessary maintenance works on M&E services and installations, including electrical systems, heating and hot water installations, fire alarms, and security systems, works machines, lifts, and other relevant systems.
  5. Ensure works are completed to standard and within budget, meeting key client requirements and satisfaction, and reporting back to the Pareto FM Account Manager and client-elected liaison at regular intervals.
  6. Support the arrangements in place for subcontractors to undertake routine and emergency breakdown maintenance, both in and out of hours.
  7. Assist clients in setting maintenance priorities, forward programs, and budgets.
  8. Assist with the preparation of delegated planned maintenance projects, including preparing schedules and specifications and placing orders, auditing, supervising, and checking works on completion.
  9. Provide technical M&E advice and support to clients as requested.
  10. Liaise with other professionals undertaking project work and contribute site and maintenance information where required.
  11. Liaise with clients and other Pareto FM staff to develop and disseminate national best practice in M&E maintenance and procedures.
  12. Liaise with and participate in site and property teams, providing technical input in areas such as security, health and safety, risk assessments, utility infrastructures, counter disaster planning, and other initiatives.
  13. Work with clients to ensure the effective implementation of the Asset Management Plan, informing the planning and management of works across the estate.
  14. Undertake other works of a similar nature as required and directed by clients and Pareto FM Account Managers.
  15. Be the go-to person for clients when issues arise.
  16. Be open to a wide variety of workplace tasks to support clients' business continuity requirements.

Key Skills

  1. Deep knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles and systems.
  2. Previous experience in a Building Services Engineer role.
  3. Ability to work unsupervised to a high quality.
  4. Relevant qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
