Job Summary:

Lusona Consultancy (Group) Limited is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations to empower our leadership team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the year-end audit and corporation tax statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Produce insightful weekly and monthly management information to external audit level quality, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax compliance across all group operating companies, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Internal Controls: Review the integrity of all group company balance sheet control account reconciliations, ensuring robust internal controls are in place.
  • Process Improvement: Work closely with the Group Financial Controller to introduce and improve internal control procedures, enhancing the overall efficiency of our finance function.
  • Cost Savings: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the budgeting and reforecasting exercises, providing accurate and timely financial information to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Data Analysis: Analyze financial data using financial ratios, trend analysis, and other techniques to identify areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Consolidation Process: Work with the Group Financial Controller to update and document the consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Requirements:

  • Full awareness of all current accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Teams and advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
