Role Overview and Expectations
Skanska, a prominent name in project development and construction, is committed to fostering an inclusive and responsible business model that contributes to societal advancement.
We are seeking an Environmental Stewardship Specialist to enhance our Building Services division in the West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report on performance metrics aligned with environmental objectives and targets across projects and contracts.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Sustainability Manager and project leads to ensure accurate internal and external environmental performance reporting.
- Create and maintain Environmental Management System (EMS) documentation at the project level, ensuring timely reviews and updates.
- Assist operational teams and subcontractors in recognizing and integrating environmental standards into ongoing projects.
- Facilitate investigations into environmental near misses and incidents, ensuring compliance and learning.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Solid understanding of waste management practices.
- Background in facilities management or the construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with suppliers, clients, and key stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the healthcare sector is advantageous.
