About the Role

Azenta Life Sciences is a leading provider of automated bio sample management solutions and genomic services. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Irlam, Manchester.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electronic systems, including circuit boards and control systems.
  • Specify and select commercial electronics subsystems, boards, and components.
  • Develop test setups for component and subsystem level testing and qualification.
  • Perform failure mode analysis and troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Develop documentation for electrical systems, including schematics, diagrams, and test procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate electrical needs and negotiate trade-offs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience with product life cycle development, from concept to production.
  • Troubleshooting skills with PC and embedded software-controlled equipment.
  • Knowledge of cable and wire layout and management.
  • CAD software skills for circuit design.
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Order processes and documentation.
  • Regulatory compliance experience for equipment.
Working Conditions
  • Typical office environment with hybrid work model.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
