Position Overview
As a Class 1 Driver at Quattro Plant Ltd, you will be responsible for the loading, transporting, and unloading of equipment as directed by the Depot Manager or Logistics Planner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to safety and operational protocols established by the company, clients, and main contractors.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections on vehicles and trailers in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Represent the company positively, maintaining professionalism with clients and fellow road users.
  • Inform your line manager of any incidents affecting your driving license.
  • Attend mandatory safety briefings and ensure comprehension of all relevant information.
  • Participate in required drug and alcohol testing.
  • Report any vehicle defects and monitor safety performance.
  • Follow the Incident Plan set by clients or main contractors, ensuring all incidents are documented.
  • Implement all control measures as outlined in risk assessments for assigned tasks.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or near misses you witness or are involved in, cooperating fully with investigations.
  • Utilize and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as instructed, reporting any issues to your line manager.
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures as part of the Company's Safety Management System.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by your line manager, provided you possess the necessary competencies.
Essential Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of safe loading, securing, transporting, and unloading of loads.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with safety procedures, demonstrating constant risk awareness.
  • Familiarity with drivers' hours and working time regulations.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: £19.00 per hour
Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime opportunities available
Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years in low loader/plant hire
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Class 1 driving license (mandatory)
  • Driver Qualification Card (mandatory)
