Role Overview: Due to the expansion of our Engineering Department, we are seeking a new Process Development Engineer specializing in Glass Mineral Wool (GMW). This role will report to the Hot End Process Manager and is available in our offices.
Key Responsibilities:- Enhance the glass wool manufacturing process to lower production costs, elevate product quality, boost throughput, and enhance safety. This includes conducting plant trials, analyzing results, and implementing improvements across GMW facilities.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics across all GMW plants using relevant Key Performance Indicators.
- Engage actively in the supply chain process, maintaining close communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate new product development by optimizing essential properties pertinent to end applications, collaborating with customers to understand their requirements and adapting technology and processes accordingly.
- Contribute to the advancement of new technologies in partnership with colleagues from various sectors of the insulation business.
- Collaborate with plant personnel at all levels to establish process controls and develop innovative assessment methods for production processes.
- Provide comprehensive support to all plants regarding process or product-related challenges.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; prepare regular technical and operational reports; brief colleagues; and deliver presentations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Generate quarterly updates (both written and presentation) detailing advancements within the process area.
- Offer guidance and development opportunities for department employees.

Preferred Experience:
- Industrial experience is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
- Experience in project management is preferred.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing techniques is desirable.
- People management skills are a plus.
- Strong presentation skills to engage with various levels of management are expected.
- Understanding of financial budgeting and working within financial constraints is beneficial.
