About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team at Clarke Telecom. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate pricing for tenders and client proposals for EV, ICP, and telecoms works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and summarize tender and pricing opportunities generated throughout the EV & ICP Division
  • Prepare proposals and write bids as required
  • Liaise with business development colleagues to identify pricing strategy and approach
  • Liaise with colleagues in Operations, Projects, and Commercial to structure the bid and ensure buy-in from delivery departments
  • Liaise with clients to ensure clarity and address matters arising during the tender process
  • Prepare pricing analysis showing build-up and source of costs of materials, labor, plant, and sub-contractors
  • Issue enquiries to sub-contractors and suppliers for pricing
  • Develop and maintain a new schedule of rates covering all deliverables
  • Produce internal project handover documents
  • Attend client tender meetings and presentations as required
  • Manage e-tendering process when required
  • Ensure all pricing timescales are cascaded to relevant parties and manage inputs to ensure responses are on time and accurate
  • Monitor and update relevant project databases to ensure accuracy and data integrity
  • Produce work-related spreadsheets and reports
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of electrical engineering and construction, particularly in the EV, electrical utilities sector, and telecoms
  • Previous EV/DNO/ICP experience
  • Experience of taking innovation and successfully developing new ways of working
  • Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of market prices
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage time efficiently
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office, etc.)
  • Passion to succeed
  • Ability to manage complexity and changing targets
