Position: Residential Care Team Supervisor
Location: Meldreth - Cambridgeshire / Hertfordshire
Salary: £13.56 p/hr to £14.80 p/hr (£28,205 to £30,784 per annum) based on skills and qualifications
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Shift-based
We are currently looking for a Residential Care Team Supervisor to become part of a dedicated residential service that offers care and therapeutic assistance for children and young individuals aged 6-19 years who face severe and profound communication challenges due to conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, and degenerative disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- To possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact, enabling service users to thrive and feel appreciated.
- To actively foster and sustain a stable, welcoming, and nurturing environment prioritizing the health, safety, and well-being of our young residents.
- Support the Care Managers by managing, motivating, and coaching a team of support workers and Senior Support Workers.
- Oversee a team that delivers suitable physical and emotional support to children and young people within a residential setting and during off-site activities, including health-related appointments and family visits.
- Assist in the onboarding of new team members and their ongoing mentoring and development towards QCF and other essential training.
- Conduct supervisions and address performance management issues within your team.
- Play an active role in ensuring that activities are completed and effectively delegated, ensuring that the day-to-day implementation of individual program plans for young people is executed efficiently with adequate coverage at all times.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained accurately and up to date.
- Regularly undertake sleeping-in duties for which an allowance is provided, as well as waking night duties and assume duty manager/on-call responsibilities.
- Please be aware that the role may involve participation in physical intervention and personal care.
- QCF Level 3 in Childcare / Care or NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare / Care (or equivalent)
