About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Library Assistant to join our team at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust. As a key member of our Information Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality library services to our staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to library users, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process library registrations, OpenAthens, and article requests, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Market and promote library services, producing publicity materials and library guides to engage users and promote the library's offerings.
  • Aid users in the use of E-resources, providing training and support to ensure effective use of library systems.
  • Carry out routine literature searches for users, referring more advanced questions to professional librarians.
  • Maintain physical library spaces and stock, ensuring a clean and organized environment for users.
Requirements
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English Language.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a library or office environment.
  • High level of computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to source information effectively.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible work approach and self-motivated attitude.
