About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Academic English Teacher to join our team at Outwood Academy HemsworthWakefield. As a key member of our English Department, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English Language and Literature to students in Years 7-11, with a focus on delivering engaging and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that align with the Eduqas GCSE English Language and English Literature specifications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of English curriculum and assessment strategies.
