About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Engineer to join our team at Airedale by Modine. As a key member of our commercial controls division, you will be responsible for assisting project managers with the day-to-day running of large projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned technical and engineering projects.
  • Provide project engineering support, including documentation, design operations, point schedules, and engineering diagrams.
  • Supervise on-site works and manage sub-contractors, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Conduct site surveys and progress reviews as necessary.
  • Liaise with customers and project engineers/managers to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide reports detailing areas for improvement in controls projects and products to enhance quality and profitability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve site issues.
  • Update customers on commissioning works progress.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality control across the department.
  • Deliver assigned workload on time and to a high standard.
Requirements
  • Experience in HVAC/BMS/engineering projects environment, either from an on-site engineer's perspective or an office support role.
  • Competent electrical knowledge and ability to understand electrical drawings.
  • Competent HVAC and/or BMS knowledge, capable of understanding engineered systems to a high level.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualified or willing to undertake.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, potentially on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with site/construction works and knowledge of relevant health and safety standards.
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving using own initiative.
  • Awareness of the industry, its technology, and application.
  • Good written and communication skills, including report writing.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • CSCS or equivalent held (or willing to undertake).
  • Awareness of BMS/DCIM and common communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP).
  • Knowledge of IT systems, servers, and communication networks.
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara 4 & AX software and controllers.
