About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory & Policy Coordinator to join our Waitrose Technical team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the regulatory and policy functions of the Regulatory & Policy team for Waitrose, ensuring effective business processes are in place to achieve regulatory compliance across product and trading areas.

You will work closely with Regulatory Managers to provide stakeholder management and compliance advice, as well as support the Regulatory & Policy Manager in maintaining the Regulatory Policy Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the regulatory enquiries process for the regulatory & policy team

Responsible for day-to-day administration of the regulatory policy framework, including meeting management, ensuring policies are up to date, training in policy requirements, and tracking policy compliance

Manage referrals from enforcement agencies

Support business with 3rd party accreditation audits

As an integral part of the regulatory team, deliver business requirements for legal challenges, product incidents, and new legislation & guidance

Support regulatory and policy requirements around 3rd parties, inter-departmental processes, and business systems

Essential Skills:

  • Science, Food Science, or Law Degree
  • Systems, Google Suite, ability to think creatively to find system-based solutions to compliance issues
