Senior Clinical Development Director

The Senior Clinical Development Director is a key member of the Ipsen Biopharm Ltd team, responsible for leading the development of new uses for compounds in proof of concept and/or life cycle management. This role requires a strong medical background, with the ability to provide high-quality medical/scientific/strategic input and interpretation on specific product data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and propose new uses for compounds in proof of concept and/or life cycle management
  • Provide medical leadership for asset development programs
  • Ensure compliance with GCP, ethical, scientific and medical guidelines and statutory principles throughout all clinical development activities
  • Work closely with Regulatory Affairs and Global Patient Safety to define the optimal development approach for the asset and indication
  • Contribute to medical monitoring and ensure data integrity and coherence of data interpretation
  • Support the conduct of clinical trials and interface with medical CRO representatives
  • Proactively and reactively inform Global Patient Safety, Asset Team, Clinical Study Team(s) and functional leads of any safety signals emerging from clinical trials
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with external medical experts and key thought leaders
Requirements
  • Medical school (minimum, MD title) or equivalent academic education in life sciences
  • Substantial practical and academic experience in clinical trial management and pharmaceutical drug development
  • State-of-the-art medical, scientific knowledge and track record of successful publications in Internal Medicine or Rare Diseases
  • Substantial experience in global clinical trials management and real-world evidence or data generation
  • Previous experience directly and independently leading projects and/or a team of professionals
  • Excellent priority setting, time management and organisational skills
  • Ability and willingness to assume domestic and international travel
Language

Fluency in English is a must; any other language is an asset
