Job Overview

Prax is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Corporate Finance team as the Head of Origination and Deal Sourcing. This is a senior role that requires a strong background in corporate finance, deal structuring, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise funding from banks and other financial institutions
  • Source new financing options and negotiate deals
  • Manage data requests, compilation, and interpretation
  • Develop complex financial models to prepare forecasts
  • Negotiate and structure financial deals
  • Explore new methods of funding and funding structures
  • Coordinate with financiers, lawyers, and other stakeholders
  • Provide financial presentations to key stakeholders and investors
  • Arrange financings associated with mergers and acquisitions
  • Lead specific projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree-educated in a relevant field
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CFA qualified (an advantage)

  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Effective verbal and written communication and influencing skills
  • Highly organized and results-driven
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to clearly convey sensitive information to stakeholders
  • Good relationship skills in engagements with financiers
  • Ability to represent Prax with external stakeholders

Knowledge and Experience

  • Excellent project management skills
  • Minimum seven years of experience in corporate finance, ideally more
  • Strong financial, analytical, and modeling skills
  • Oil and energy sector experience
  • Exposure to working capital financings and other sources of liquidity (an advantage)
