About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead the Quality Assurance activities and oversee method development and validation at Torbay Pharmaceuticals.

This is a key role within the team, ensuring that deadlines and KPIs are achieved and that high-quality standards are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure analytical test methods are validated for their intended use.
  • Ensure analytical equipment and systems are suitable for use.
  • Investigate out-of-specification results and deviations in accordance with internal procedures and regulations.
  • Manage the reference standard program, including receipt, storage, and disposal.
  • Ensure sample integrity by labeling, receiving, storing, and handling samples, chemicals, reagents, and test solutions as per documented procedures.
  • Oversee the sampling, testing, and disposition of materials used in the manufacture and testing of pharmaceuticals.
  • Develop and implement robust quality improvement initiatives.
  • Train and develop the QC team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a senior QC role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or highly regulated industries.
  • Experience managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP.
  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance, including MHRA and FDA.
