Role Overview

The Global Registration and Regulatory Compliance (GRRC) team leads the way in regulatory expertise, guiding the development of information and dossiers, managing product registrations, and overseeing the lifecycle of all SC Johnson products.

In this position, you will play a key role in coordinating and executing compliance activities for SC Johnson Pest Control products within the European market, ensuring adherence to essential EU legislation such as BPR, CLP, and REACH. You will specifically manage GSARA's contributions to various EU Pest Control initiatives, determining dossier requirements and facilitating the acquisition of National Scheme and BPR product registrations. Participation in projects across different business units may also be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

You will collaborate with the GRRC team to ensure the timely adaptation of relevant regulatory policies into company practices, aligning with regional regulatory strategies. Key responsibilities within the Pest Control category include:

Regulatory: Assist the GRRC team in providing product-specific requirements based on comprehensive knowledge of EU regulations to guarantee that all new products meet compliance standards. Ensure that any new regulations or interpretations are clearly understood and communicated to stakeholders. Maintain existing products in light of evolving safety, regulatory, and environmental challenges, ensuring compliance with the EU Pest Control product portfolios. Project / Pre-launch: Participate in project teams by contributing to project timelines and success criteria, attending relevant meetings, and assessing project resource needs. Help determine the necessary level of GSARA resources for projects and communicate this information to functional leaders. Manage the identification, resolution, and communication of regulatory issues throughout projects, ensuring that all formulations are evaluated through the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system promptly. Post Launch: Ensure proper alignment and escalation of critical issues to the GSARA Management Committee. Collaborate with the GRRC team to provide regulatory support for products already in the market. Coordinate with the biocides team to ensure ongoing compliance with BPR for both existing products and new acquisitions. Support the Project Manager and local compliance experts in addressing any regulatory inquiries or challenges from local authorities, ensuring that all compliance documentation aligns with applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology) is strongly preferred. Solid experience with BPR or PPR. Proven ability to work effectively across diverse cultures. Strong understanding of compliance requirements throughout the EU region.

Desired Skills:

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize and convey technical information to varied audiences both verbally and in writing. Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on driving projects to completion. Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and a willingness to initiate change.
