Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Overview
ATA Recruitment is in search of a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that student accommodations, including communal areas and private studios, are maintained to exceptional standards. Your responsibilities will also encompass ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and other relevant legislative requirements. This position demands a hands-on approach, requiring both technical expertise and practical experience to effectively manage maintenance tasks internally, while delivering a friendly and efficient service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, decorating, and joinery for communal areas and studios as needed.
- Oversee grounds maintenance as applicable.
- Manage building facilities promptly, either by executing the work personally or coordinating with external contractors as necessary.
- Maintain the property to brand standards, which includes tasks such as painting, flooring installation, and joinery work.
- Ensure compliance when addressing identified maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations related to the building.
- Conduct routine testing, maintenance, and risk assessments for all aspects of the property.
- Oversee the annual site calendar and manage all service requests efficiently.
- Deliver outstanding customer service as part of the residence management team, including managing permits and contractors on site.
- Assist the site team with regular compliance checks and maintain maintenance inventory.
Compensation Package
- Competitive salary of £28K
- 20 days of annual leave plus 8 public holidays
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm
- All necessary equipment will be provided
