POSITION OVERVIEW

Winner Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves collaborating with a talented group of chartered, mid-level, and junior engineers within our civil engineering division.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience across a diverse range of civil engineering projects, particularly in the areas of roadway and drainage design, and will have successfully managed complex structural designs from initial concept through to final execution.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Minimum 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of post-qualification experience in civil and structural engineering
  • Full UK driving license and access to personal transport
  • Chartered or near-chartered status with a recognized professional body

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivering high-quality conceptual, preliminary, and detailed technical designs for projects involving roadway and drainage systems.
  • Conducting various drainage calculations, including QBar, attenuation storage, soakaway sizing, and network analysis.
  • Designing adoptable and non-adoptable highway structures, including driveways and footpaths.
  • Preparing necessary documentation for developer inquiries, flood risk assessments, and drainage strategies.
  • Managing project timelines and budgets while ensuring compliance with sustainability criteria.
  • Overseeing junior engineers and CAD/Revit technicians, ensuring quality assurance in technical details.
  • Engaging in business development and maintaining client relationships.
