We are seeking an Economist to contribute to the strategic decision-making process at Amazon Digital UK Limited. As an Economist, you will utilize econometrics, statistics, and machine learning to develop innovative solutions for complex business problems. If you have a passion for delivering high-quality results and a strong quantitative background, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze experiments to measure the impact of strategic initiatives
- Use causal inference methods to estimate the effects of investments
- Collaborate with fellow scientists to drive progress and change
- Present empirical findings to influence business leaders
A Day in the Life:
As an Economist, you will work on a variety of strategic research projects and analytical tasks. You will present your work to business leaders and the science community.
About the Team:
The Prime Video Economics team comprises of highly qualified Economists focused on decision-making in areas such as content optimization and business strategy.
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in Economics or a related quantitative field
- Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis
- Experience with design-based causal inference
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of microeconometric empirical techniques
- Post-doctoral experience in academia, private sector, or government
- Ability to pitch new ideas effectively to business leaders
