Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with SEN needs in a secondary setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to pupils with SEN needs
  • Assist with outdoor activities and day trips to promote social and emotional development
  • Embody the school's vision and core values, promoting a nurturing environment for all pupils
  • Work collaboratively with pupils with ASC, complex needs, and challenging behaviors
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to ensure pupils stay on track with the curriculum

Requirements:

  • Patience, proactivity, and resilience to thrive in a challenging yet rewarding role
  • Experience working in a SEN school (not essential)
  • Strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
