**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Technician to join our team at MBF. As an Insurance Technician, you will play a critical role in the processing of insurance classes, supporting the development and maintenance of technical documentation and processes, and ensuring compliance with industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Production and Processing of Insurance Documents:**
- Produce and process binding authority risk and premium bordereaux, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Submit documentation to Lloyd's and Company markets via Xchanging, using accounting and settlement processes, and delinking where applicable, for bulk closings and facultative business.
- **Technical Support and Query Resolution:**
- Assist with the resolution of technical queries and liaise with producers, clients, underwriters, and Xchanging as required.
- **Premium Advice and Closing Management:**
- Prepare premium advice notes (LPANs), closings, and closing endorsements, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- **Accounting and Reconciliation:**
- Run accounting reports, reconcile, and liaise with the accounts department and other business units, ensuring accurate financial records.
- **Workflow Management and Technical File Maintenance:**
- Raise payment requests and maintain workbooks, statistics, and tracking workflow, ensuring efficient and effective process management.
- **Technical File Maintenance and Profit Commission Calculation:**
- Maintain technical files and calculate profit commissions, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- **System Engagement and General Technical Duties:**
- Engage with new systems, whether within the client's company, associated companies, or the London (Re)Insurance Market, and perform general technical duties as required.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- **Strong Communication and Administrative Skills:**
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Well-developed administrative and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- **Technical Knowledge and Experience:**
- Previous experience working within the Lloyd's Insurance Broking Market.
- Familiarity with technical processes and documentation of both Lloyd's and Company markets.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, with confident use of Excel spreadsheets.
- Mathematical and basic accounting skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of insurance and reinsurance technical processing.
- **Education and Certifications:**
- Ideally educated to 'A' level standard, with a minimum of GCSE grade 'B' in Maths and English Language.
- A strong desire to achieve CII qualifications.
