Job Title: Finance Officer

Join our team as a Finance Officer and take on a challenging role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for handling invoicing, managing fees, and providing financial support to our staff and parents.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial Administration: Assist the Head of Finance in producing monthly management accounts and schedules, and maintain the billing ledger.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with statutory auditors, parents, and staff to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any queries or issues.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly budget reports for budget holders, and provide weekly reports on outstanding fees to the COO.
  • Financial Management: Reconcile pupil information, maintain the fees in advance register, and work in partnership with the Admissions team to provide financial information.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with anti-bribery and corruption legislation, money laundering regulations, and associated KYC and sanctions lists.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Qualified by experience or an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
  • Skills: High level knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, Management Information Systems, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop and maintain relationships with parents and staff, and a high degree of personal integrity.
