About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Childcare Solicitor Advocate to join our team at Venn Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice and representation in complex childcare matters in the Family Courts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on all aspects of advocacy legal work relating to childcare matters in the Family Courts, providing expert legal advice and representation in complex cases.
  • Manage a varied caseload of complex childcare matters, including abuse, non-accidental injuries, and child deaths.
  • Advise client departments on intricate issues concerning Childcare Law, ensuring that our services are delivered in accordance with the highest standards.
  • Attend and advise committees, bodies, or panels as required, providing expert guidance and support.
Requirements
  • You are a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with significant experience in childcare law, with a proven track record in advocacy, particularly in the Family Courts.
  • You have managed complex legal cases involving child protection and welfare, with a deep understanding of the relevant laws and regulations.
  • You are skilled in mediation and arbitration processes, with the ability to negotiate and resolve complex disputes.
