Job Title: Cover Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team at TimePlan Education Group Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering classes across all secondary year groups and delivering cover lessons up to GCSE standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide short-term absence cover as directed by the Cover Operator
  • Support the education and welfare of pupils as directed by class teachers
  • Deliver cover lessons up to GCSE standard
  • Uphold the school's disciplinary rules and staff code of conduct
  • Follow the school's health and safety requirements
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a caring and stimulating environment for young people
  • Supervise classes during short-term teacher absence as well as breaks and/or lunchtimes if required
  • Liaise with Heads of Departments to ensure that appropriate work is set for classes
  • Supervise the work that has been set
  • Respond to any questions from pupils about process and procedures within their level of competence
  • Ensure good behaviour in the classroom in accordance with school policies
  • Cover registration if required
Requirements:
  • Experience of working within a secondary school
  • Ability to adapt in different situations
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Ability to work as part of a pastoral team
