About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at Sussex Community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing occupational assessments and interventions to individuals with mental health difficulties.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational assessments to identify individuals' strengths and needs, and develop personalized intervention plans to promote recovery and relapse prevention.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless discharge planning and transition of patients back into the community.
  • Provide clinical supervision to occupational therapy staff, promoting professional development and excellence in practice.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services provided by Sussex Community.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an occupational therapist.
  • Postgraduate level study or training in occupational therapy or a related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health difficulties and learning disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
