Nationwide, United Kingdom Harris Hill Ltd Full time

Harris Hill Ltd is pleased to present a unique opportunity for a Public Affairs Consultant to collaborate with a leading organization focused on bladder cancer awareness.

This position is structured for 1.5 days per week and is ideal for professionals seeking flexible, part-time engagements.

The organization aims to elevate the visibility of bladder cancer, which remains one of the most prevalent cancers in the UK, yet often lacks the attention it deserves. Many symptoms are frequently overlooked, leading to late diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute public affairs strategies to influence legislative outcomes.
  • Engage with government officials and stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of bladder cancer issues.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences to advocate for policy changes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in public affairs, government relations, or policy analysis, preferably within the charitable sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of health policy, with a focus on cancer-related issues being highly beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade various stakeholders.
  • Strong familiarity with the UK political landscape and health sector, including legislative and regulatory processes.
  • Experience in building productive relationships with a range of stakeholders, including government departments and voluntary organizations.
