Daniel Owen Ltd is a prominent Contractor specializing in innovative and high-quality refurbishments for Social Housing projects.


We pride ourselves on delivering a customized service to our clients for both interior and exterior projects, emphasizing attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.


We are currently seeking a Cost Estimator with a proven track record in social housing refurbishment, particularly in managing major planned works projects.


Key Responsibilities:
Your duties will encompass but are not limited to the following;

• Ensure compliance with HSE&Q standards, operational processes, company policies, and all relevant legislation.
• Oversee the coordination and preparation of tender documentation.
• Cultivate an understanding of client processes and procedures for bid evaluation.
• Strategically plan tender documentation and pricing information.
• Prepare tenders based on architectural drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and pre-priced schedules provided by clients.
• Gain insights into business development and the competitive bidding landscape, including regional market variations.

• Participate in meetings and assist in the formulation of contract mobilization plans, providing valuable insights into tender details.

• Manage the tender process to solicit and establish project pricing from subcontractors.
• Evaluate, engage, and negotiate pricing documents, ensuring accuracy and confirming optimal value in terms of price and service quality.

Essential Qualifications:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within a social housing refurbishment context.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with a willingness to enhance knowledge of software applications.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize effectively.
• Familiarity with marketing and economic factors.
• Comprehensive understanding of building construction and maintenance techniques and materials.
• Solid legal and contractual knowledge.
• Valid driving license.
