We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as Senior Chef de Partie at Hawthorns Retirement. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a team that provides a high-quality culinary service to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings with residents and department heads to discuss catering functions and address special needs or dietary requirements.
- Prepare nutritious food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.
- Support cost-effective stock control systems to minimize waste and ensure their implementation.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will embody our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all your actions. Our ideal candidate must:
- Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
- Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Have a minimum of 1-year catering experience.
- Demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality culinary services to residents.
- Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
