About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic Gardener and DIY expert to join our team at Porthaven Care Homes.

As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our outdoor spaces to create a welcoming and relaxing environment for our residents.

You will work closely with our Activities and Wellbeing team to support gardening activities and initiatives, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our residents.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and developing our gardens, including planting, pruning, and landscaping
• Providing support to the Activities and Wellbeing team in gardening activities and initiatives
• Assisting with garden maintenance, including clearing pathways and garden furniture
• Performing general maintenance work to ensure safety and functionality in our outdoor spaces

About You:

We are looking for an individual with proven experience in gardening and seasonal planting, as well as a passion for working outdoors in all weather conditions.

You will have knowledge and experience using various gardening machinery and a proven track record in general DIY within a home setting.

As a team player, you will enjoy working with others from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, and be able to think creatively to develop innovative solutions.

Above all, you will have a genuine passion for gardening and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
