Senior Structural Designer

Aberdeen-based opportunity for a Senior Structural Designer to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. The role offers the flexibility to work remotely and provides a chance to work on a variety of projects in the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain technical information to support estimates for project work scopes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical queries and ensure design changes are captured by the change control process.
  • Conduct site surveys on offshore or onshore assets.
  • Produce high-quality structural design drawings and 3D models.
  • Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and HAZIDS.
  • Check structural drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Interface with clients, third parties, and other disciplines on technical project issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with company engineering procedures, industry, international, and client codes and standards.

Additional Design Deliverables:

  • Experience with structural general arrangement drawings.
  • Experience with structural destruct drawings.
  • Experience with installation methodology drawings and documents.
  • Experience with survey reports.
  • Experience with construction work pack input.
  • Experience with weight control reports.
